Nurcierge Deadline: Tue Jan 27, 2009 Prize Amount: $150
Health Care Navigation Specialist. Medical navigation solutions.
About Nurcierge
Even Christopher Columbus would have had a tough time navigating the waters of the complicated U.S. healthcare system, and most people, especially when ill, aren't the best navigators. Worried and anxious family members mean well in providing guidance and assistance but can sometimes only make matters worse. Enter Nurcierge. Nurcierge helps ensure that the patient and family members are better prepared in understanding your medical condition. A Nurcierge representative educates family members on how to support the patient during a hospital stay or medical appointment. Nurcierge staff can represent you or your loved one through a medical conflict with health care staff. Nurcierge can also sort through the mountains of bills and, if necessary, negotiate fees with the healthcare provider, insurance company, or other payer. Nurcierge provides private nursing and advocacy services for you or your loved one
Read the briefSubmit Entry
The company was founded by a registered nurse who saw a need to better educate health care consumers along the rehabilitation continuum while working as a liaison for a post acute brain injury program. It was not uncommon to call family members whose loved one had experienced a catastrophic injury and share in their frustration as they expressed how little they understood about their medical situation or they felt limited information was presented to them. Somewhere along the introduction of the health care delivery system patients and or their loved ones feel abandoned and helpless. Educating and providing information that was already presented in a more personal setting gave the founder of Nurcierge the idea to offer these services privately. It was not a failure of the healthcare system to provide the information but a simple failure of time as a resource for all involved. Patients in a doctor's office for a routine visit often times are overwhelmed with the information they are presented. Expecting individuals who are coping with a catastrophic injury or newly diagnosed chronic disease or newly diagnosed terminal illness places a huge burden on all entities involved. The experiences and background of the founder sparked the idea to start up a private health care advocacy and private nursing service.
Looking For
I am looking for a logo for a start up company, Nurcierge. I combined the words Nurse and Concierge to come up with Nurcierge. Nurcierge offers health care advocacy services and private, medical concierge services. Nurcierge's specialty service will be advocacy and offer private nursing as a secondary service.
I would like for Nurcierge to be the highlight and the slogan: Medical navigation specialist. Medical navigation solutions.-either in the background, below Nurcierge- or however you may want to incorporate.
Not Looking For
I am not looking for much of an emphasis to the nursing services offered as this is a longterm goal.

Thanks for starting things off SBM. I like your concept of the stethescope and bell. I like the font and all caps in the second and the thicker boarder. The light above the i in the first is good too. Again, great start! |

How about adding a stack of two books as if the stethescope is resting on them- just a suggestion. The bell- concierge... Stethescope- nurse/medical... Books- information??? Just a thought because it may clutter its appearance. |

These are my work in progress entrees for this contest. The concept is the caduceus and the international Concierge logo combined to form the logo for Nurcierge.
I look forward to feed back

The caduceus and the international Concierge logo combined to form the logo for Nurcierge- a little too busy for me. The caduceus is traditionally used for physicians. I do like the gray NURCIERGE enclosure. I do like the "bell" stethoscope made by sbm designs the most thus far- it's more original. |

Not a bad nurse hat concept but... the owner is a male nurse. I do like the originality. |

I like the red one- it's improved but not sure about the books... It might be a little too busy. |

SBM- You are right on target with my own thinking process. I thought about the stethoscope version- only at the beginning of nurcierge- but where you have it works- to some degree and lady justice- only medical character with scales like lady justice- with medical paraphernalia and then a computer or electronic information depiction- this may not look good when it's reduced to small size- I will provide more feedback after the week is over. I am in DC for the inauguration. |

Here is my first entry. The letter "N" can be seen in the shape of the medical cross. The circle and triangles are contributing to the shape of a compass. |

A different layout with a few modifications, to better emphasize the compass. |

Thanks for the compliment earlier. I made a change to my logo. I changed the symbol in one and used a different type in the other. |

SBM I like C through E. Could you please work on the smoothness of the U- or ends of the stethoscope. It's a little rough for me. I like the concept. |
