Bullet Shots! Alcoholic Shooters in a TestTube, is looking for a logo that is Bold, sleek, and looks fantastic VERTICALLY going down a TestTube. The testtube looks like a Bullet so we are looking for a strong Bullet Design using the word "Bullet" in the logo. You are free to choose your own colors, but we were originally thinking Black and Gold. in addition to the main Bullet Logo, we need a cool looking Star that will be placed at the TOP of each TestTube so that it sticks out from outside packaging.

Looking For
We are Bullet Shots! alcoholic shooters in a TESTTUBE!
Our company makes alcoholic beverages served in a TESTTUBE. The product will be sold in Liquor stores, grocery stores, convenience stores, bars, clubs etc...
We are looking for a logo that embodies a sleek, trendy, masculine design. We are trying to make the TestTube look like a Bullet, so the logo should be skinny, and run down VERTICALLY along the TestTube. The logo should contain the name BULLETS in it. additionally, we want a star design placed at the top of the testtube. for example, the Star would be at the top, and then the Bullets Logo would appear going vertically down the testtube. Look at the Us Army Star logo, we were thinking of something similar to that. feel free to come up with cool font designs, and to play with the "LL" in buLLets...
In terms of colors, we were originally thinking black and gold. something strong and powerfull. but feel free to experiment with colors.
Not Looking For
We do NOT want a cartoony, flimsy design. Nothing cheasy please.

just to be clear, you don't want the star to be part of the logo , but more of a packaging display. Or is the star to be integrated into the logo? |

Both would work. But if its part of the logo, it would be separated from the main part of the logo...let me know if that doesnt make sense...good luck |

This was my first concept for your logo. From your brief, I didn't know whether to use "bullet shots" or "bullets" as the name, but if I got it wrong, it will be easy to correct. I went for a weathered look figuring you were looking for a masculine design and I implemented a form of a bullet into the "L" letter forms of the word "bullets". I played with the star a little and gave it the same weathered look. The stars in my upload are not part of the logo I designed, but if you look closely, I put star shapes in place of the negative spots in the word. If the doesn't work, again, easily correctable. Feedback is always appreciated. |

This (#2) is the same concept as my first design, but in a clean version. I still have a few more concepts I am working on. Will upload soon. |

Good Start!
Can we try them in CAPS? also, perhaps a bit sleeker/italicized design, indicating a fast bullet.
in regards to the star, it looks a bit flimsy. something more rugged and stiff like the US ARMY star.... |

I saw what you wrote and I made these a little sleeker. I am working on a couple of things right now, but I wanted to show you these to see if this is the path you are aiming towards. I still want to work a little more on the design, but for right now I was going for a metallic sheen on the font and the lines to represent motion. As with the star, I made it a little more hard edged, but it is very similar to the US army star you were referring to and I am going to play with that a little more to give it a different look. |

ok, i think your original direction was better than MY suggestions...
in regards to the star, it looks much better in the latest design. please use the darkish gold color used in the bullets font in design number 1, and try to make it thicker...im excited to see what else you have in mind... |

ok, i think your original direction was better than MY suggestions...
in regards to the star, it looks much better in the latest design. please use the darkish gold color used in the bullets font in design number 1, and try to make it thicker...im excited to see what else you have in mind... |

I went for something more straight forward with this one. The bullet itself is the main symbol of the logo that buyers would recognize. The stars beside the letter "B" represent the shot (gunshot/alcohol shot), then the bullet flying away on the opposite
end. The star that hangs from the end of the packaging wears the bullet symbol so any customer ripping it off and throwing it on the floor is actually advertising for you. The test tube label itself has a simple bold black border, so its just a matter of sticking the whole label on the side of the testtube. The speedlines explain the speeding bullet idea in the brief. (The fired shot theme).

Great Job Hovey! The star looks great with the starbullet inside.
My concern is the BULLETS font and the way its written. is there something we can do with the "LL"s? Also, look at design #1, there is a star placed inside the letter B, we think thats pretty nice.
try a few different font styles, writing styles, lower/uppercap etc...and lets see what comes out. great start! |

Thanks for the comments. Yes, I was thinking the same about the font. I will try out a few different text arrangments and color schemes. Mk2 on the way soon.

Hi to all concerned, I just wanted to check in regarding the designs I submitted to this contest. I realize I've taken a different approach to this contest than that exemplified by the other entries. The reason is this...I wanted to avoid making your product an Army branded alcohol. Test tube shots exist in upbeat, fun environments and therefor need to be branded along those lines...Militarizing alcohol might not get you the publicity you want...That said, the bullet concept is cool and I've attempted to use it throughout my design while maintaining a current, trendy, and high-level design aesthetic. I've integrated 6 bullets (1round) into the logo itself that symbolizes 6 shots fired in succession..Also included is what the outer packaging might look like for a 6-pack (round) of Bullet Shots. Thanks for your consideration...Any feedback would be appreciated |
