The private threads mod we have been using has been very problematic ever since we upgraded to vBulletin version 3.6 and our server move this past weekend seems to been its death blow.

It appears that the private threads mod for vBulletin has so many programming issues that PHP5 basically refuses to run it. Rather than risk a security laps we have decided to remove private threads within forums until we come up with a more robust solution.

In the mean time I will be creating a "private" contest forum that will only be accessible by members who are logged in for those contest holders who need to run a contest but don't want the whole world to see it. This is not the optimal solution, however, it does provide a stop gap solution until we can bring back a fully functional private thread mod. All existing private threads will be moved to the temporary forum.

If you are a contest holder and would like one of your current or past contests moved to that forum, please contact a Moderator or Administrator with that request.
